Hi, I've setup my site to use the PayPal shopping cart. Everything works as I intended it to. I am based in the UK and most of my sales will be in the UK. When my customer checks out they are given the form to fill with their details. The address section, however, is US based. To continue, my customers need to click on "Outside the U.S.?" Upon clicking the link the page is refreshed. The problem with this is that the link is half way down the page and upon clicking the link any information already entered is cleared. This is not especially good is it!?! Question 1. Is there a way to change the default checkout page to show non-US address fields? or is there a work around? Question 2. Why doesn't the PayPal script detect that the currency code is Non-US and change the default page on the fly? Surely this must be in development? Question 3. Why does the refresh clear information already entered? Non-US PayPal users may only account for a small percentage of users but only a small percentage of my customers are from the US - see where I coming from? :o) Question 4. On a different topic. Can anybody confirm that if the user enters their details EXACTLY as shown on their bank/credit card statement, that the user will not be charged the $1.95? I know it is refunded back into their PayPal account once verified, but some of my customers are unhappy about this. -craig http://www.g-imaging.co.uk/gallery/ user: guest pass: guest

1. Not currently.

2. That's not too reliable. Even among non-US dollar txns, the vast majority of buyers are US. I think we should be able to collapse tghe two pages into one.

3. It should preserve information already entered. I just tried on your cart and it did.

4. There are a couple of reasons why the customer might need to go through the membership process.

Thanks for your reply Patrick.

In response to answer 2: I hope that this happens. Will it happen?

In response to answer 3: OK. I'm glad your browser preserved the info. I must have some setting on my browser selected or something! What browser are you using?

In response to answer 4: Can you tell me what these reasons are? I would like to post this information in a FAQ/Help section of my site and want to have they correct info from the outset.

Many thanks,

-craig

It's normally a CVV2 problem with the credit card issuer. It's quite rare and we make constant improvements so it would probably only be confusing to mention it.
