A gift certificate could be added such that it allowed a discount on the price of anything ($25 gift could apply against $30 item). But I think you need some server code and a client database to do this properly, else how do you keep someone from using the coupon over and over?

I probably don't understand. You can simply not charge shipping. If you have shipping set in your profile, you can include a "shipping=0.00" in your PayPal pay button.

I encountered same problem with shipping variables but the ""shipping=0.00" in your PayPal pay button" solves it.
