Notification from Paypal for each recurring transaction Options

Hi,
We are planning to provide recurring facility to customer (through payflow integration with our own system), and also we need to update our system/database with the transaction details during each recurring transaction.
We are thinking of creating payflow recurring transaction profile with paypal for this purpose.
Can anyone tell me how can I get that transaction confirmation /failure details data back to our system on each recurring cycle?

Really appriciate your help!

Activating the PayPal IPN function in yrou account will notify you for any payment received or payment failure. That is the best way.
