I received the email cc generated by the ipn.asp script. However, when I go to my PayPal account, there's no subscription and no new user name under tblUsers. Any explanation for this?

I'm not familiar with ipn.asp or tblUsers. Is this at the PayPal web site or elsewhere? Patrick Breitenbach PayPal, Inc. Dev Net: https://www.paypal.com/pdn

sduraybito, I get the samething with the php script as well. even if you have the subscription variables (txn_type="subscr_signup") in the form it still won't make a subscription. so double check and make sure you are using the IPN subscription variabels along with the regular variables in your form. if you find out please let me know as well, I wil keep an eye on this post. http://www.snippetlibrary.com

Patrick, it's part of the IPN solution that Superfreaker Studio's Shannon Sofield developed. Unfortunately he doesn't seem answer help questions here anymore... :-(

scoutt, the script was written by the sponsor of this site. The script does not reference txn_type="subscr_signup" anywhere in the script.

sduraybito: same with the php script. I send the txn_type="subscr_signup" to paypal and it ignores it. the script works and does it's job but no subscription is made http://www.snippetlibrary.com

The mystery deepens, scoutt. I just tried signing up and was successful. However, for some reason, I keep getting emails but no new subscriptions by others.
Somehow I get the feeling this PayPal subscription service isn't quite ready for prime time yet...
