Struts and IPN Options

I have been trying to get my credit card processing to work for a while. Right now the payers account gets charged, but the Instant Payment Notification does not send back to my system. My Questions is what should my IPN value look like in profile: can it be: http://www.mydomain.com/PayPalPurchase.do or does it have to directly to the Java file, any help would save me my sanity.

Okay I have figured out that thru the IPN script testing environment that http://www.mydomain/PayPalPurchase.do will reach my my class. I still have the problem that when i am working thru the sandbox and the real world the class still does not get called. If someone could help out with a check list of sorts of things i can make sure, are correct in my configuration it would be most appreciated.
