I'm now builing my first web shop and including paypal as the first payment option.

Should I also send an invoice to the user, or is it enough that they get the invoice from Paypal via email?

Are there some references how a perfect webshop should look like?
I'm thinking here about a small specification, or mockup like:
1. step: select items
2. step: user goes to the checkout
3. step: user selects his payment
...
