Checking Amount using PAypal before starting the Application Options

Hi All,


I am a PHP devloper. I am new in Paypal. I have a chat appliction.The process is, Users of my site want to chat with Therapist of my site. After finish the chat Users needs to pay some amount to therapist. So before starting the chat application itself I want to check, whether the Usershave sufficient amount in his account using paypal, if he have, then allow chat otherwice not...this checking is possible in paypal? If anyone know the solution please help me.....Urgent!

you could try using the "paymentaction" variable found at the below link:

https://cms.paypal.com/u...variables#id08A6HH0D0TA

basically the user would have to pay you, and you would take an authorization then you would need to capture the funds. I would have to test this to get more information on it but it should work if you are having the user go through the payment process first.
