Short answer:
If you are relying on this for financial transactions
and can't get any support I'd say drop it immediately
and look for a supported one.
Even if someone did fix it up for you - you'd still
have the same problem the next time something needed
looking at.
But:
On the other hand you say he does support some people.
So perhaps there is some registration process you missed
or some other condition for support.
If he is removing messages from his forum he's doing that
for a reason. Ask yourself about the tone of messages you
post - or whether you are including words/web addresses etc
perhaps in your sig. that he has banned from his forum.
My own forums will auto delete such messages - sadly we need
something like that these days.
If you do want to persist you could try a PM to him asking
what you have to do for support - or a private direct email
if he doesn't do PM's.
At the end of the day though - if you can't resolve it quickly
I'd say cut your losses and move on. Perhaps find a freelancer
first to recommend one he's willing and able to support for you
rather than look for a cart directly yourself? That should give
you a better long term solution.
