Does ANYONE, I REPEAT ANYONE have this PPCal shopping cart and can offer any technical help?? At this point I WILL PAY YOU!! I mean this guy will not respond to a select few for some odd reason!!! I don't fricken get it!!! I paid for this cart back in 2004 and even though I have had issues with it, I still want to make it work. Don't get me wrong, it can be a great little shopping cart, but without support, it is FRICKEN USELESS!!! There has got to be someone out there that can decipher this code and help me move on since I am getting NOWHERE with this PPCAL ADMIN. I mean, If you were to post something inside of his PPCAL Forum for support, he just removes it without even a response. I did nothing wrong to this guy, and definitely nothing to deserve zero support. Something definitely needs to be done about this guy!! He is taking people's money for this product and not issuing support!! That is wrong!! Especially when people have invested a lot of work and time into it. If someone could PLEASE help either with this PPCal cart, I would be humbly greatful!! Thanks

Short answer:
If you are relying on this for financial transactions
and can't get any support I'd say drop it immediately
and look for a supported one.

Even if someone did fix it up for you - you'd still
have the same problem the next time something needed
looking at.

But:
On the other hand you say he does support some people.
So perhaps there is some registration process you missed
or some other condition for support.

If he is removing messages from his forum he's doing that
for a reason. Ask yourself about the tone of messages you
post - or whether you are including words/web addresses etc
perhaps in your sig. that he has banned from his forum.
My own forums will auto delete such messages - sadly we need
something like that these days.

If you do want to persist you could try a PM to him asking
what you have to do for support - or a private direct email
if he doesn't do PM's.

At the end of the day though - if you can't resolve it quickly
I'd say cut your losses and move on. Perhaps find a freelancer
first to recommend one he's willing and able to support for you
rather than look for a cart directly yourself? That should give
you a better long term solution.

No this guy isnt kidding. That cart is a scam. I bought it in 2005 for our company and it didnt work right. I followed the directions and even after when i needed support there was no one there. We are all being decieved because the ppcal's website is so high on the google search. If i were you i would drop that cart so fast. I decided to go with www.auctioninc.com instead. Its $100 a year, and if your company can support it I promise you'll never look back.

I wish I'd come across this post sooner! ShoppingCart.org was very helpful in answering some preliminary questions before the purchase. But after making the purchase, I received no CD as promised and had to chase after them for a download link. Finally got it almost 72 hours later. Installation instructions didn't quite match up to the latest software version, but I got it loaded on the website okay. Unfortunately, anytime I try to add a category, item, or try to change passwords, I get the following message "cgi-bin\ppaddit.cgi produced no output" Over the past four weeks I sent 6 emails to support@shoppingcart.org and have received NO RESPONSE. This no way to run a business!
