I found paypal's exchange rate is much behind to the market. In my transaction, you converted C$1488.12 to US$954.92 using the rate 0.641698 (while the rate in yahoo is 0.6570 today). And converted the IS$954.92 to HK$7279.75 using the rate 7.62342 (while the rate in yahoo is 7.7989). I've a lost of about HK$300 (about US$38), 4% of my transaction!!!!!! How come we've to suffer this lost, and without any notification? Even you don't have shown your exchange rate table for us to pre-check your rate and make the deal with our customer!

Is it possible to dynamically load the current PayPal exchange rates when quoting prices to customers?

Yep, that's the reason pointed in Paypals Help, but when I pay something directly with my Credit Card (not trhu Paypal), the rates are FAR closer to the interbank ones you say, though.

I find PayPal really useful, but I think they are not quite honest when they say NO FEE for payments and I suspect that the fee is subtly included in the exchange rates.

As I told in my previous post; banks, Visa, Master Card, etc... DO THAT with other rates nearer the international money exchange. Anyway, I agree you that PayPal has to charge a fee but an 'administrative fee' as you point, is definitely a fee, and they state that there's 'No Fee'.
I also agree that they'd have to make rates available. The difference with the interbank ones is big enough as to be known.

oanda.com and yahoo are quoting the same exact figure for GBP to USD - Paypal's almost 6 cents off for the same day. So what's the story with that?
