Can you accept donations with a personal account? Options

Hi, I'm new to paypal and want to setup a donate button. My question is if I only have a personal account can people donate to me? I understand they can't donate by credit card - but if they fund their own accounts with a credit card can they then donate or can they only donate with funds taken from a bank account? Thanks, Will.
