OK, I have copied the Coldfusion code off of Paypal and can not get it to work. It always returns an INVALID response. I am using Coldfusion MX. I have tried testing with the test tool available at eliteweaver. It tells me that I have sent back the expected number of variables and the string length is correct, but the data is incorrect. Too bad it won't go further in telling you what about the data is incorrect... In addition to posting the data back to Paypal, I am also posting it back to an internal web page which captures the URL variables and writes them to a text file. I look at the text file and it looks fine to me; all variables are there and the case is correct. So, my question is if I am returning the correct string length and number of expected variables, and I know the case is the same as what was sent to me, what else could cause an "invalid" response?

OK, it looks like I can actually get a "VERIFIED" response if the txn_type is "send_money". It's the "web_accept" transactions that are always getting an "INVALID" response.

OK, I give up. I've been working on it for five days now and the sample code on Paypal's site for Coldfusion does not work and no one can seem to tell me why. We currently accept Paypal on our ebay auctions but it is getting to be too much of a hassle because we are now doing hundreds of transactions a day and trying to manually keep track of them all is becoming a nightmare. I'll have to refer all our customers to our credit card processing site, at least the sample code I got for it does work and I can get support.

I guess I'm posting this as a last ditch effort to get some help. I don't want to cut off Paypal, I'm sure that will end up excluding some of our bidders. But I suspect that it will probably be a small cut. Most people don't seem to mind going to our site and billing the purchase to their credit card.
