IPN manual states that i as the merchant in the last step of handshake when posting to https://www.paypal.com should verify paypals certificate using verisign public key through my code, how is this done through code???? (im using asp/.net)

well then why would paypal simply state that this must be done to ensure security?

shannon, thanks, thats what I thought, I as well think it should be removed from the manual since paypal in no way supports how this should be done. Shannon, tell me you think then that you can still develop ones ecommerce site and use IPN and still be ensured of security without doing the verisign public key step?
