What is the best way to gather other information from buyers along with a donation?

Depending on the a ount of data you can use option fields (see https://www.paypal.com/c...ec/options-help-outside) and other pass-through fields (item_name, item_number, custom).

Thanks for your reply. I've got many more fields than the two optional ones allowed. Should I just process the form in ASP and then send them to a PayPal page or is there a better way? If I do it this way can I do a redirect rather than have them click a button? In other word will the button code work in a redirect

If you're comfortable scripting it, that would probably be a better solution. Have the person submit the data to you, validate and store it and then redirect to PayPal or present a pay button.

I have the same problem but I don't know how to apply the answer given. Our Foundation website is developed in FrontPage. It is quite easy to set up a form that has Submit and Clear buttons at the bottom, and when the Submit button is pressed all of the info (Name, Address, etc.) is filed and/or emailed. I would like to have a field for the amount donated to be included on the form and the Submit button work like a PayPal button with predetermined amount, as well as sending the form info.

Is that possible? If so, can you advise me how that can be done?

Thanks,

You may be able to use a normal PayPal pay button since PayPal will forward the person's name, address, etc. information along with the payment.
