Hello,
I am pretty new to PayPal, but so far am very impressed. I have two questions.
Limits
========
- A US person comes to my site and purchases some things with a credit card. That makes them Unverified, so they have a limit of $2000 USD. Correct?
- Is that $2000 for that one transaction, and then they can go and buy another $2000 without becoming verified, or is it a total $2000 limit and then to do more they have to verify.
- A non US person (with no PayPal account) comes to my site and wants to buy some stuff. Do they have a limit?
Re-Submissions
================
A person goes and buys some things via a PayPal enabled web site. In the process, they select a password, thinking nothing of it. Then they forget the password, and perhaps change e-mail addresses. They then come to my site, and they try to make a purchase using the same credit card. Will PayPal reject them because that card is already registered to another member (ie. their old account)?
Final Question
===============
Many of my customers do not have Internet access, or perhaps they are not interested in a PayPal account. I want to accept their credit cards though, so I'm happy to go and enter their billing information and so on. Do any of you do this for your customers? How do you handle their passwords then? Do you e-mail the passwords to them somehow, or do you then manually go in and delete the accounts you just created for them, or what?
I wish there was some way you could use PayPal to straight out accept credit cards without requiring the purchaser to create an account, but I understand that would totally violate their business model...

1) Unverified buyers have a $2,000 lifetime spending limit. 2) It's a life-time limit. 3) Most non-US buyers will be able to spend $100-1500 *before* needing to confirm their credit card. 4) Correct. If the buyer has paid previously through PayPal, they would need to subsequently provide a password to approve a payment on that credit card. Note that their email address will likely be pre-filled since we store it in a cookie. So all they'll need to do is enter a password and click twice to pay you. They will not have to enter in all of their personal and credit card information again and again. 5) PayPal is geared towards online commerce and expects all transactions to be performed online.
